Meet the Team
Kelby Carr
Founder and Organizer
Kelby Carr is the founder and CEO of Type-A Parent, a social network and multi-author magazine-style blog for digital moms and dads, and Type-A Parent Conference. She is the author of Mom Blog SEO and Pinterest for Dummies, due out in March 2012. She’s been geeking it out on computers since she was 10, social networking online since the 1980s, web publishing since the early 1990s, blogging since 2002 and tweeting since 2007.
Heather Solos
Session Coordinator
Hidden by her monitor, Heather Solos is charming, witty, and can answer household questions with the greatest of ease. In public, she’s
a little shy and happiest at the nerd’s table riffing on web tech and shiny toys over beer and nachos. At home in the Lowcountry of South
Carolina, she’s a writer and busy with four kids and a patient husband who doesn’t seem to mind living in a test kitchen where food must be photographed before it is served. She blogs at Home-Ec 101, and is the author of Home-Ec 101: Skills for Everyday Living – Cook It, Clean It, Fix It, Wash It.
Amanda Henson
Volunteer Coordinator
As Chief Executive Mommy at High Impact Mom, Amanda encounters all sorts of madness while she goes to bat for teachers as local PTSO secretary, corrals two busy daughters, manages a successful social media marketing company, attends college fulltime, and occasionally finds time for a date with her husband. Sometimes she even lives to blog about it; Amanda is a social media addict, a compulsive volunteer, and devoted mama…she might also a little bit crazy.
