Type-A Mom Conference Official Poster Competition

Just like any decent event, the Type-A Mom Conference just has to have a cool official poster. Since Asheville is full of artists and since I know so many mom bloggers are uber creative and, quite simply, graphic art geniuses, I decided to let you guys design and help choose the official poster.

How to enter

Create an image that can be made into a high-quality 18″x24″ vertical poster. Get as creative as you’d like, and just be sure the poster says somewhere:

And it should, you know, somehow reflect that this is a mom blogging conference. You can paint it, use a photo, create an illustration, anything so long as it is all your original work. You will also, of course, keep the copyright on your own work. I just ask for non-exclusive right to use your creation for promotional products and posters for Type-A Mom Conference.

The image must be in a printer-friendly digital vector format, as well as a smaller web-friendly jpeg format (311 pixels wide by 400 high preferably) to display on this site for voting.

Submit a comment below with a link to a post or URL where you have posted the image in web-friendly size. If you don’t have a web site, please email your enter with subject line “Poster Competition” to kelby at typeamom dot net.

The prize

The winner will receive either a mompreneur/dadpreneur (small business) or local sponsorship, valued at $500. You can see more details about it on the small business, local, mompreneur and dadpreneur sponsorship page. This means that to win, you must either be local or run a mom or dad-owned small business. There is no alternative cash value!

You will also get your business name, Twitter @ and/or site URL on the bottom of all Type-A Mom Conference posters, t-shirts and other promotional materials that feature your artwork.

The rules

This isn’t a contest, but a competition. There is NOT a guaranteed winner. If only one person enters and the artwork does not fit the Type-A Mom Conference style and brand, there will be no winner. You can enter as many times as you’d like.

Once the entries come in, we will choose finalists among those we love. Those finalists will then get a chance to encourage people to come to vote for their work. Voting will be limited to one vote per IP address, and the winner will be chosen by highest vote.

The deadline to enter by posting a link to your imagery in the comments below is August 20, 2009 at 11 p.m. EST.

    Hi James. Nope you don’t have to be a mom to enter at all. The prize simply can only be used by a mom or a local since it is a mom or local sponsorship. Alternately, someone who is not a mom or local can apply the $500 towards any other sponsorship.

    And Jill. *smacks forehead* … I just added it. Sorry!
